You don’t have to figure it all out before asking for help. We keep the process simple, flexible, and led with compassion. Whether you’re deep in grief, drowning in clutter, or just too exhausted to keep pretending everything’s fine, this is a place where you can stop performing and start receiving support.
Comfort Nest is here for anyone feeling stuck, buried, or emotionally worn out by the weight of their environment. You don’t need to be “ready.” You don’t need to have a plan. You just need to want things to feel a little less heavy.
• People navigating grief or loss
Whether you’re sorting through a loved one’s belongings or just trying to keep your own space together after a loss, this service holds room for your sadness, your memories, and your pace. Nothing is rushed. Nothing is forced.
• Those overwhelmed by depression, ADHD, or anxiety
When your brain won't cooperate and basic tasks feel impossible, Comfort Nest steps in gently. No shame. No pressure. Just a helping hand and a steady presence to break the cycle and get momentum going again.
• Caregivers and chronically ill clients
When you're always taking care of others—or just trying to manage your own energy—cleaning and organizing can feel like the last straw. These sessions meet you exactly where you are, offering kindness, rest, and relief without judgment.
Whether you need practical help, emotional support, or simply someone to be with you in the hard parts... you're not alone here.
Reaching out for help shouldn’t feel like another item on your already impossible to-do list. That’s why Comfort Nest keeps the process soft, simple, and human from the very first click.

It’s just a few basic questions like who you are, what you’re facing, and what kind of help you think you might need. You don’t have to have it all figured out. Just start where you are.

Once we review your answers, we’ll follow up with warmth, not pressure. We’ll figure out what kind of session might fit you best - virtual or in-person, and answer any questions you have.

If you’d like to talk things through first, we can schedule a brief intro call. This gives you a chance to get a feel for how I work and what’s possible—without any commitment.

We’ll schedule a time that works for you and go at your pace. This isn’t about “getting it done.” It’s about support, clarity, and maybe even a little peace.
There’s no pressure to keep going unless it feels good to you. Some people just need one session. Others want regular check-ins. Comfort Nest is here either way.
Still feeling unsure? Totally okay. Let’s clear a few things up.
Yes! With Comfort Nest, you’re in control. We will work on your priorities, communicate with each other, and work together so that there are no unpleasant surprises.
It depends. If a homeowner has been diagnosed with hoarding disorder AND is actively in treatment for it, we can provide additional support inside the home. In that case, a triadic model — one in which the therapist, the client, and I are all communicating together — would be the most helpful way to proceed.
Comfort Nest is about you and your comfort. While most cleaning services have their own set of services they provide for every client, we are focused on your priorities! You get to decide what we work on during sessions, and how much guidance you want or need during that process.
Yes! However you’re feeling, the fact that you’re here means you are looking for some assistance. We can gently help you get un-stuck.
Absolutely! We have personal experience with these struggles, and have helped others with the same. Comfort Nest will support you and make space for you to have big feelings if they come up.
Emily at Comfort Nest is a Certified Cuddlist platonic touch therapist with more than four years of experience. If you need a literal hand to hold, or a hug, just ask! And if you decide you’d like some time dedicated to closeness, with or without touch, you can specifically request a cuddle therapy session. Click here if you’d like to request a cuddle session now.
As we work together conversation will naturally flow at times. If difficult feelings arise, we can take a moment to either look at them more closely, or gently move away from them and back to the task at hand. We may ask if you want a hug, or you may ask us for one. But it is always up to you and your comfort level.
No, we can start from scratch together if that’s what you need. But, if you want to get to work together faster, it’s always helpful to make notes for yourself about what you want to accomplish.
Try this: Take a few moments in each room of your home, starting in the entryway. In each one, enter the room, close your eyes, and take a deep breath in and all the way out. Then open your eyes, breathe normally, and ask yourself what would make this room work better (or feel better) for you and/or others in your household. Make note of any thoughts that come up. That will give us a good starting point.
Emily has personal experience with grief, and has supported clients dealing with both grief and trauma. She is currently pursuing continuing education to gain more tools to support clients who are struggling.
Anything you share with us is private between us, as long as there does not appear to be imminent danger to yourself or anyone else. Also, if we should see each other in public, I will never approach you first.
